Here’s a quiz:
Do you wake up tired?
Are you depressed?
Do most of your days end feeling exhausted?
Are you out of breath just doing normal activities?
Is your skin lacking luster?
Your hair lacking shine?
Are you irritable?
If you answered yes to all of these or most of these you are not honoring your health and well being. If you are a mother, your good health is requirement for raising a family. If you are sick now, and not raising your family how you believe you should, there is a solution. And it all starts upstairs. Your thinking, and lack of thinking, and what actions you take are 100% your responsibility. No-one is going to make time for you. Everyone else is dealing with their own concerns, time issues, and whatever is on their plate. To expect anyone else to change your life is not going to happen. This is ‘fairy tale ‘ thinking.
Here’s another quiz:
Are you waiting for someone to rescue you?
Do you like the way your life is now?
Are you satisfied with how you look?
Are you content with your energy level?
Do you keep ‘putting it off’?
Are you lying to yourself, and you know it?
It all starts with your mind.
If you answered yes to one or all of these, you are not in control of yourself. You are: a) saying it is difficult b) you don’t know how 3) you are not making the effort to find out how 4) you say you can’t 5) you are taking no actions.
Notice if you really want something you will find a way, hell or high water. So, first you have to want it. You have to want it bad. Second, you will have to be willing to give up your fixed way of being, or bad habits and be willing to learn new ones. Third, you have to stop resisting being right about anything in this area, and learn from people who have actually done it, and can offer you ‘tools’, or ‘instruction’, or ‘coaching’. There are thousands, and millions of people who are living their life doing exactly what they want to be doing, looking exactly how they want to look. When you see them, you say..”that’s for those people.” NO! That is for anyone who wants it bad.
I wanted to lose weight bad. I wanted to get into shape. I wanted to get out of abusive relationships. I wanted to have a great relationship with a wonderful man. I wanted to teach my children the values that are important to me. I wanted to expand my mind. I wanted to learn new things, new disciplines. But, I wanted it. By the way, I got it.
So, how bad do you want it?
You can have the life you want.
First, write down what is working in your life, then what is not working. They can overlap, just get specific. Once you do that, you will then look at the areas that are not working and ask yourself, what actions are you doing? What actions are you not doing? What is missing? If you create that ‘missing’ way of being in your life, how would your life look?
You can create this possibility.
Negative thought patterns.
Notice for just one hour, then two, then a whole day how many negative things you say about yourself, life, or others. Can’t catch them all? Ask a family member to point it out. I am sure it will be really easy to point it out. It is so easy looking at someone else isn’t it? It’s like a muscle, it starts like any new practice. Start small. Just notice how many times you are making other people wrong, including yourself. How many times you blame someone else? (Giving away power). How many times you say something that makes you feel yucky. Well, guess what? You just left the listener feeling yucky too.
Notice, you will keep only your ‘they think like me’ buddy’s around you. ‘Those happy’ people over there, away from you. Consider, you are looking for agreement, and find (like a magnet) people who are just like you, so you can wallow in misery together. By the way, I was a master at negativity. I thought it was my witty sense of humor, looking at the satire in life. Real funny. Well, it creeps into my every thought pattern, and then I see no possibilities in the future for the life I want, just more of the same.
